Hello again, Ive had my GT ( green terror) for about 5 months now and he hasnt grown to much, along with him in my tank is a jack dempsy, 40 Gallon tank btw. I do regular water changes and feed them a variety of food. He was often beaten up by the jack dempsy having distorted fins the past few weeks hes been fine however. Hes a Gt with orange on his dorsal fins. ANyone know about the growth rate of this fish, or what i can do to help it grow.

You will find that you will need to separate the GT from the JD to stimulate normal growth as it sounds similar to when a female GT and a male GT are always together and the females growth is stunted due to being chased by the male etc etc. Give it a try with a tank devider for a few months and you will probably see a happier GT. More food and less stress = growth.
This has worked every time!

I agree with Cooper, try seperating them. Stress and bullying definitely can stunt the growth.

I would also put them in a larger tank, regardless of their current size. A 40 just doesn't provide the free space I feel they need to establish a safe area for each, maybe with decor that allows line of sight to be broken.
