Question about tank mates

Here are the 3 different types of Aulonocara Jacobfriebergi peacock.

and here is a picture of a A. baenschi peacock...looks more like this one then the Jacobfriebergi...
http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/a_baenschi.php

and yes all of the cichlids you named are all from Lake Malawi...

Ice blue is a Mbuna, so is the Johanni, and the Electric Yellow...see my sig for all of our cichlids...all of them are Mbuna, except for the 2 female peacocks, and they do just fine...the reason people say not to necessarily put peacock cichlids with other mbunas is they mate alot....and Peacock cichlids, either female or male will cross breed with other cichlids...our female ob peacock has already did that, and we think it might have been the male red zebra....

Man, wish we had a 150 gallon...just make sure to have a lot of hiding places for all the cichlids and no real plants,,,those will be uprooted in no time...since cichlids like to rearrange the substrate alot...and make caves themselves....our red zebra likes to move around alot of substrate for his new homes everytime hubby cleans the tank....so he just leaves the substrate where it is...and the red zebra always defends his home when hubby is cleaning...quite funny to watch...

are thease cichlids ok together? there both from lake malawi right? if not i can always return / exchange them.

Also, would thease cichlids be ok with others such as,
ice blue zebras, blue johannis, and electic yellows?? <those are all from malawi as well, right???

Kenyis are very aggressive and should actually be in tanks with their own kinds...or other very aggressive cichlids...and the cichlids you mentioned are not that aggressive, so I would not go with Kenyis and if you already have them, and really want to keep them, put them in a tank by themselves or take them back to the LFS...

all of those could work together. peacocks are the least aggressive of all those you listed, but it can be done. if you stock all of them in there now, they have the best chance of getting along for the long term. if you wait until the keyii and the peacocks get established and get set in their territories to put the others in, it could cause some over aggression, so the sooner you add the other fish, the better.

thanks everyone for helping out :) and a special thanks to mee-mee for puting up some helpful sights. Hopefully I will be making the right choices in choosing tank mates.. And i agree with you, Visualeyes2, about adding them all around the same time, i think that applys with a lot of aggressive fish. But for now, i think i will just try to do the best i can and just rearage the rocks everytime i put some new guys in. ;)

also,

i was also wondering what classifys a cichlid as mbuna? I was looking around for some deffinations, but all i came accross was they were just basically just telling me it was a fish.. ;)
