Question about working with glass.

Use a knife to carefully pry the side open. Point the knife away from you while you do this, so if you slip, you won't end up gashing yourself.

Is there a way of cutting 1/4" off a peice of glass or am i going to have to cut new covers again?

lay it on a flat surface, use a square and glass etching tool and score the class where it needs to be cut. Using pliers, snap off the glass by only hanging the 1/4" over the edge of your flat surface and supporting the remaining glass.

I water tested the tank i made this weekend as well as my 35g that i resealed last week and both hold water.
I think i'm going to use the tank i made as a betta home it's a 7g tank measuring 16"x10"x10".

Use Belt sander w/fine sand paper.
