Question about ZEOLITE?

A guy at my LFS told me to stay away from any zeolitic medium because zeolite is harmful to coral. Has anyone else heard anything about this or had experience with it harming coral?

Personally, i dont have any issues with zeolithic filtration. However, to give you a better understanding of it, please have a read through this article and then make your own judgement...

Ok so from the article, basically it's only harmful to coral if the coral has become used to lower quality water. That makes sense.
This raises another question however. Does this same problem become an issue if the zeolitic medium is being used in a Nitrate reducing capacity ie. Kent Marine Nitrate sponge in PhosBan?
