I have amano shrimp. They do an excellent job of eating algea. They get in places the snails cant reach.

I used to have 2 amano shrimp, but I think they multiplied. I see at least 4 amano shrimp in the tank. :thm:

Yup, that's true, they do need brackish water to develop into sub adults. Either the person got more and didn't remember or it isn't an amano shrimp.
