Question from a newbie????

I added salt to my 55g fresh for medicating/stress reducer purposes, my question is that is my tank considered brakish now?

Not unless it was marine salt you used, marine salt that is used for SW tanks is what makes your tank brackish. Aquarium salt is nothing more than a way of medicating your tanks.
