Question on bamboo plants

well carbon filtration removes organic compounds (molecules linked the element carbon). This is most chemicals used in the world, especially in pesticides and many other things.

So, normally I don't run carbon. But, I tend to run carbon when there's even the slightest chance of anything foriegn being introduced to the tank.

Is it true that carbon is only good for 3 days?

it depends.. in a normal setting it should last 2-4 weeks..depending on load and amount of carbon.

I don't really remember, I think it was some I picked up in N.Y.C. Like I said mine has been in there for months and nothing has been wrong. I do have to admit that this is a HUGE coincidence.
