Question on fish compatability....

I am having those same feelings of fish remorse... I stocked my 40 g with 6 rosy barbs a couple of weeks ago, and now don't know what I'll be able to keep with them. I'd originally wanted a "small fish only" tank, but circumstances led me to buy the rosies, unplanned...

So with these guys, not sure if keeping those wee gold tetras will be an option anymore, to say nothing of my Endler's livebearer breeding project! I think the only viable option is going to be yet another tank. :D Dang Manhattan apartments are small though. I also have an 8 gallon, stocked with several Endler's and a big feisty betta.

Anyway, you should let yourself have some fun maybe and get another tank going!! :)

I'd definatly get another tank going, but I'm leaving for college after I finish this last semester at community college, and I'm not going to leave a 2 tanks at home unnatended. I do plan on getting a big one as soon as I get out of college and get a place with my girlfriend though. A nice, big, awesome tank. It'll be set up more responsibly as well haha, not just putting fish in to test it.

Please dont buy painted glass fish in the future. It is a cruel thing to inject a fish with dye so they look more colorful.

Not to mention the color will fade anyway. Anyway, by buying them, it sort of supports the market for them.

Again, fish newbie here. I had no idea how they got that color, I thought maybe it was natural or genetics or something. Anyways, yea my fish has lost his color, but looking pretty healthy anyways.
