I have a question regarding a pump that I'm looking at on Petco's online site. It's called : Supreme Pondmaster Mag-Drive Utility Pump for Ponds
The question I have is this, can this be used in a larger aquarium? I have a 135 gal freshwater tank, right now the filters I have are not enough to handle the tank load, and I'm planing on upgrading them this month. I also have 3 power heads on it but they were used when I got them and are nothing but trouble to keep running. I want to buy new ones, but as I was looking at the petco site, I ran across this pond pump that is submersible and for the money it looks like it would be ideal for moving water around the tank for oxygen flow. They have 2 sizes and I think the smaller of the two would be best for my tank, but I would love to hear anyone's opinion on if this is possible to use in a aquarium and if anyone else has tried it before. I also was looking at some small pond filters, same questions, would they work in a large aquarium?
