First of all...I don't know if this should be in this forum of the equipment one, so sorry if it's in the wrong one.

How do fish traps work and does any recommend one over another?

What if the wrong fish goes in?

Does the door close the moment a fish goes in?

Could multiple fish go in at once?

Anybody have any experience using them?

Thanks!

A trap is just an acrylic tube with a square acrylic plate glued to one end, and on the other side a "trap door", meaning you have something like fishing line tied to the door, sit back a few feet from the tank after putting a little food in the trap, and then you just let go of the line to close the trap, which closes by sliding straight down. It doesn't do it by itself, you have to sit and be patient waiting for the right fish.
