i've got a situation and im not too sure what to do. My finals are over on the 24th and spring courses doesnt start til May 5th.. so im planning on heading home ( ~350km away) for the 9 days or so via the bus.

So im not too sure what to do with my puffers. Everyone i know is leaving on the 26th latest so no one can stay and feed my fishs...
I've got one of those "7-days autofeeding block" thing but i heard that puffers doesnt eat those stuff...

i do have a fish tank back home but its a small 20 gallon ( actually its my sisters) with a bunch of other fishs in it...

any idea?

i don't know what you feed you fish but you can do a seach on google or altavista on "Automatic Fish Feeder"

short of finding someone to feed your puffers there isn't much you can do. I would get a whole bunch of snails and hope for the best. the autofeeders will only work if your fish are eating flake or pellet foods, but you may be able to rig one with FD krill or something.

what do you feed your puffers now?

Krill or plankton might work in a auto feeder. Also you could buy a whole bunch of ghost shrimp & gut-load them with goodies before feeding them out, in addition to the snails.

rite now im feeding them with either dried Krills or frozen bloodworm.. maybe i'll try to Rig a autoflaker into an auto Kriller... dont wnat some over expansive.. said one going for like 100 CAn. pretty crazy

Get a standard flake auto feeer, and set it up for the duration you will be gone......it will work fine

oh and stock up on 4 dozen ghost shrimp before you go too :)
keep them alive with food, and the puff should dwindle them down in a few days
