Quick All GLASS aquarium silicone Question

You are asking the same question again. Do you not like the answers? If you don't like them then do as you wish. Have you ever tried to lay a perfect 3/16" of silicone down? Always allow more for waste. You asked, you recieved answers and now you will do as you please.

uh no as you can see i re worded my question because it wouldnt let me edit the one i already posted so i had to make a new one, simmer down

I would use the same silicone for the whole project...IMO...:)

that would cost me over 50$ in silicone check out monsterfishkeepers.com so many people reseal there tanks with 4$ tubes of GE I windows and doors and there tanks have been up for years they obviousley dont pull all the glass paynes apart to put new silicone between them too just the inside seams they do

o btw weeser im gonna go with 2 rena xp3's instead of 1 xp4 and im gonna place 1 at each end of the tank( more circulation)

Sounds good on the filtration, thats a big tank, and i felt 2 would be better.....:)

Not to derail, but what do you guys mean when you say bead? Like a little dot or what? lol. Sorry for the dumb question... :(

A bead is what you call the line of silicone that comes out of the tip of the tube. I guess its called a bead because its rounded when it comes out? So to run a bead down a seam is to run a consistent line of caulk along whatever seam you want to seal.

Thanks alot! That helps. I thought it meant like a little ball of silicone every few inches. Imagine if I replaced my 75g cracked pane with a new one with a "bead every few inches" haha.

Thanks for the info.
