quick lighting question...

Quick question... I am looking at getting a 46g bowfront for my next tank. I would like to have some plants that require high light, like swords. Question is, would one 96 watt light be enough. Or should I get the 2x96 watt light strip? I am still confused about the watt per gallon rule...

that is only 2.08watts a gallon, thats good if you dont have co2. but it would be good to have 3-4watts a gallon if you have co2.

I use Flourish Excel in my smaller planted tanks. I guess I should look into CO2 if I get the 46g...

Get C02 and the 2x96W. C02, IME is better then Excel. But other people have used Excle with postive results. With out the 2x lighting you are limited to med light plants.
