Is it okay to use Melafix with my apple snails?? I came home today to see my angel between the glass and a breeder net and he was stuck (hes just little, about the size of a canadian dollar). How he got between the glass and net i have NO clue. I fed him and he ate so I think he will be okay and is swimming around normally, but I thought maybe i'd put in a bit of Melafix just incase. Do you think I should or should I just scratch that thought?

Also, completely different topic but...my angel has grown considerably since I bought him (from the size of a quarter and is now a bit bigger then a dollar) and you can really notice it in the fins. His top(dorsal) and bottom fins (forget what they're called) are kind of bent, like they're not completely straight. Same with his pelvic fins (the long "feelers"), they're a bit bent looking too. When I got him they were not like that but like I said he has grown a lot so I thought maybe thats why they were bent...any ideas? I can get a picture if that would help. Thanks.

edit: i'm going to start a new thread over in the cichlid section for the angel so check out the picture there. :)

why to use anything for no reason? don't put melafix in, but just do a water change for "just in case"

melafix & pimafix are safe for inverts, and will not harm your bacterial colonies.
