Quick question...

Great news, the mollie is doing much better. His eyes look clear and normal, and he is swimming around, and being as active as normal. Im glad he pulled through, hes a very cool looking mollie. Anway, today at work i noticed a product called "Phos-X". Its a packet with something in it that supposedly absorbs phosphate, nitrite and nitrates. Would it be smart to use this while my tank is cycling, just as added protection? (im still doing daily water changes). Also, Im thinking about stopping the ich medication treatment in a day or so, and then adding salt to the water (as per directions), just to make sure ive gotten the ich, and i also hear balloon mollies like a little salt in the water. Whatcha think?

Sounds good. I know nothing about the Phos-X stuff. If you can control the toxins with water chanegs, I would say do that instead. Even if you have to do two 50% water changes back to back. I am always a little gunshy of products that claim to do things like that because it might have other side affects. I am a very cautios person though. You might pop over to the products forum and ask about it there though. Maybe someone has some experience with it.
