Thanks for the info. And yeah, Reddog80p, the clown loaches were initially my mistake. A newbie mistake. I bought them, having never researched them, on the advice of a pet store employee who told me they'd be "just fine" in my 20 gal. I got home, looked them up online, and realized he was very, very wrong. I debated taking them back immediately, but then I worried that this guy'd just turn around and sell them to someone with a fishbowl. So, the clowns turned into the reason I'm getting the 55 in the first place. I know it will not last them more than a few years, but I won't be living in Hawaii for more than another 2 years or so. In anticipation of eventually moving back to the mainland and having to give away my fish, I went out and joined the Honolulu Aquarium Society, so when I leave I'll have access to a network of aquarium buffs who can help me find the loaches a suitable home. There are definitely people in that society who keep 100+, 200+ tanks.... So, I guess the story starts out bad and irresponsibly, but I'm trying to be good and make up for my impulse buy. Now, I just need to decide if getting these tetras is also a bad impulse buy, but the more I think about it it seems the logical way to get my 70g filter up and running over my vacation. Sorry for the long post on the loaches, but here's a tetra question at the end of it: how many would happily live in my 10g tank for the next month or two?
