R.I.P Oscar the Grouch

ouch lucy that hurt but i agree with it i have said to myself a hundred times since then that if i could havegone back and bought the tank first i would have but its done and i will not return my dempsey.i still plan to get a 55 gallon tank very soon and now he is probly going to be the only fish in there. but never did i say that i was getting one in a week or two.i have only had them a total of 1 month and i hope to get a tank within less than another

I'm glad you didn't take it the wrong way and have learned from the experience, hey we all make mistakes and I could tell that you truly did care about your fish. Great news that you'll be getting a bigger tank, I'm sure the JD will love it!

:( Sorry for your loss friend. "T"

Sorry for your loss!! Try to buy another oscar and make sure he is bigger than the Jack dempsey. I know how you fell in January I lost my 13'' albino oscar due to hole in the head. He lived for 1 year. I got him in August of 2006. I got a 3'' albino oscar now.

as much as i would love to get another oscar i dont think it is in my best intrest or maybe his for that matter i will be buying a 55 gallon anythime now and its about the biggest i can afford for now until i save some more $.i will most likely have just my dempsey in there but would like to know if anyone knows about dempseys preffering some kind of tankmates that dont get very big. something i can put in there to keep him company and also something he wont kill.im sure that my be hard to come by but any suggestions would be great!i would love to breed a pair of dempseys but have heard they need a 75gallon minimum, any comments on this?false?true? thanks!
