ok, I thought it was cute when I had my hand in the tank last week to re-secure the powerhead, the suction cups had detached from the wall.... the clowns, out of everyone would start on one side of the tank, torpedo in and smash against my wrist. I never thought they could be such little buggers. This week, I was adjusting the sand a little, fixing a few things here and there, moving some shells around for the crabs when "OUCH!!", felt like that sucker bit me..... and then I watched them racing at me and felt it again... twice!!! I decided it was the end of playing in the water..... went to wash my hands off..... and there was 2 little cuts that I could swear was the point of impact from these little vicious things. They were tiny, but bites nonetheless.... who would think your typical "nemo" really DOES have an attitude :D

LOL, I can see who owns your tank!
I have been attacked by a lot of things during dives in the Atlantic, Pacific... usually stinging organisms/inverts... but the most outright aggressive by far are the tiny little damsels, they will hit a scuba diver with no hesitation.

My mbuna do the same thing to my arm when i'm doing water changes - I use long tank gloves know - they actually drew blood! -

People think I'm crazy, but we got rid of the percula pair simply because they were brutal buggers. They were meaner than the trigger--and while he has drawn blood, he never attacks unless he thinks you're going to feed him. The clowns attacked constantly.

I was harrased in my last dive by perch. They were small, maybe 6-8 inches for the biggest ones and at first it was cute with all the fish around. Then they started to bite my wet suit and I could actually feel it through 7 mm of neoprene. When they started to swarm my face I decided to leave the area.

what's funny is the damsels aren't the problem. The don't even come near my hand.... go figure :D

Clownfish ARE damsels.
