Hey kiddies,
I'm not sure if this is really the right forum to post in, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I've did a search and read the previous posts on amanos, but didn't really find anything conducive. I currently have 2 female amanos that are loaded with eggs. I know the larvae need brackish/salt water to survive, but I was wondering if anyone had any personal experience raising them and what their methods are. I've read the infamous Wilma Duncan article and various other material, but I'd really appreciate any info. ^_^ Thanks so much.

could you link that famous article? i would like to learn.

thanks.

edit: about five seconds later i realized i could find it on my own, but a link would be nice anyway. :thm:

Here's the amano article.

I find this confusing because all the articles I read about rasing amano shrimp mention that you need brackish water. The thing is that in this article only aquarium salt is used and that will do nothing to make a brackish setup. So is salt really required?
