Ram Cichlid

Right, it's hit or miss with rams and cories. I had a pair of rams in a 29 that would not leave my cories alone. At the same time...I had one ram in a 15 with two panda cories and he never bothered them. They got along fine.

Give it a shot and see what happens. Be prepared to remove one or the other should things not go well.

I have rams and cories and they leave eachother alone, they probably leave the bronzes alone because of their size, but Im surprised that they dont bother the pandas, one of which is still half an inch.

the cory ram compatibility issue seems to have been beat to death. If you are getting the rams from the lfs make certain to qt them for 2-3 weeks.

Then when they have moved into the "community tank make certain that you practice high volume weekly water changes. Rams are not cave dwellers (unless stressed) so you really do not really need those. They are, however, fish that hide in plant growth. Swords, vals, sags, crypts, java moss, and the like are excellent choices. Leave a clear area for them to come out to "play" in. Angels and rams do well together.

If you have a well planted tank you will see more ram activity throughout the water column.

They do like sandy areas in the substrate since they are built to "sift" for their foods.
