Ram disposition...

It's unlikely the eggs will survive, especially the first batch, and more so if you have loaches and if your water is hard. But it is educational and fun to watch these guys guard their brood and go through the egg fertilization process.
If they do lay eggs you will likely have only a couple of weeks to wait untill they spawn again. During that time you can read up on breeding rams (you will need another tank to raise the fry, and it is not easy)

Yea, I wouldn't worry about the first go round with these guys. They go again in a few weeks. Until then, reasearch, reasearch, research!

wow lucky u? the 2 rams i got both hated each other and fought... but they were both males so ya ;) beatiful rams keep us updated on this
 
Awww there gorgeous. Lovely colours. I agree with the above comments, they eggs will usually not make it the first go, they'll by still getting the bearings on everythin. But don't worry, after one spawn there usually is many more. . . . .
