Rams and...

Rams and Clown Loaches? Compatible, or not? I've searched, but could not find anything regarding them together. This will be in a 20gal for now. If I can't do loaches, no problem, I'll figure something out.

I don't think they will work especially since both occupy the bottom portion of the tank and the loaches get way to big for a 20g(considering you need at least 3 of them). The rams won't like sharing their space in that small of the tank. JMO

Thanks. I kind of figured that considering both like the bottom of the tank. I guess I'll go with my original plan of 2 rams and a bunch of tetras.

My rams and clowns get along fine....the rams aren't soley bottom dwellers. Mine like hiding amongst the plants about mid-tank rather than on the bottom. It does depend on the size of your tank and IMO I wouldn't put clowns in a 20g as you do need a small group of them to be happy. Your plan of just getting the rams and then some tetras will be the better idea :thm:
