rams in a 10g

i was wondering if rams and angelfish (not in the same tank) would eat baby guppies because my sister has a guppy tank that will get overstocked once they have babies

no i talked about them a long time ago
um, where, I just checked your file. LOTS of blue ram stuff, one on apistos. So far no bolivians.

Just out of curiosity what have you done with all the fish youve had in your 10g over the last six months?

nothing my parents havent let me get them except all the gouramies i had died :( and i am just now restocking the aquariums so give me a break ok will the rams eat baby guppies and will angels?

Pretty much anything will eat baby guppies., even other guppies. If your fish are dying, make sure you check water conditions, do weekly or twice weekly water changes and DO NOT over stock. Your fish wont be happy, it'll create more work, and they will die. A 10 gallon is only good for ONE small group of tetras by themselves with maybe a couple cories or a couple dwarf gouramies or small rams by themselves, nothing else.

No bolivans in anything less than a 20 long. Angels, since you need a group generally, nothing less than a 38gal, preferably a 55gal, its much better. I would even be weary of putting a pair of German blues (who got their name from where they were originally exported to for mass breeding, they're actually native to South America, and are mostly now mass bred in asia) in your 10gal, from my own extensive personal expirience with them, a 20 long should be the minimum, especially for new pairs. Yes they will eat little guppies, like just about everything else under the sun.

thats what I meant :duh:

Bolivian rams aren't a very good idea for a 10 gallon, but it could work provided you keep a pair alone with no other fish. They are territorial and if they can't get away from each other, they will be very stressed and will not be healthy. Blue rams might be a better choice for a 10 gallon (even though a 10 gal is on the small side) since they are smaller than bolivians. They are even smaller than 3 inches most of the time, more like 2, since they have been aquarium for a long time now. I was thinking of putting a ram in my 10 gallon, but I decided not to since it would not be very happy.
