RAMS - Show me yours I'll show you mine

Gorgeous fish guys! Could someone help a newbie out? From my reading there are German Blue, German Gold and Electric Blue (all Papiliochromis ramirezi) and then the Bolivian (Microgeophagus altispinosa) commonly available. However, all of your fish look prettier, different in color, and more impressive in finnage than most of the examples of the common fish I can find. So, what sort of rams are those?

ETA: We were typing at the same time. Your Bolivian is very pretty, Lab! It does look like the pictures I've seen of those.

might want to look up Mikrogeophagus ramirezi. I believe this is the more correct scientific name.

Here's mine:

taken when he was still young. He wears his fins a bit better nowadays.

Everyone has some awesome Rams truly a tribute to the little fish in our aquariums. Keep them coming!

Extra: the source of the fish is really important if you can find a breeder you'll typically do a lot better than what you'd find from fish farms.

Anytime Star! I wouldn't have had these guys without you. Have you had any spawns with your pairs?

@ Jay973: I thought I couldn't find Bolivians either until I realized they were calling them Ruby Clowns. They still get labeled as Apistos around here too. Which I believe is something that was changed some 10 years ago?

Does anyone keep "golden" rams? I'm thinking about getting a few to keep in an empty 20 long I've got...are they really harder to keep than bolivians?
