Making me jealous! I had both gbr and gold, but had some tank problems and lost most of them. Down to one juvie gbr and 1 adult and 2 juvie golds. Anybody got any to spare, especially gbr or bolivian? If I ever learn to take a decent fishy photo, I'll post pics of mine.

I got some pics today so here they are;
One of my females coloring up as she getting ready to breed.
One of the few males in the tank trying to make his small claim, since the biggest male of the tank is in the opposite corner guarding eggs he's having somewhat success...LOL
Another female in the tank that isn't quite as colorful but I'm thinking it has more to do with the right to breed as they are more colorful when it is there turn. This same female was as colorful as the one above several weeks ago. The changes more noticeable with the biggest female in the tank because when she's at her dullest her only focus is chasing others around (maybe it's stress) but when she's ready to breed her colors really pop.

For me patiences and a lot of trial and error. Alot of good advice from those before and I got my pic count down from 30+ to usually getting a worthy shot in <5. Of course a DSLR help termendiously over my 6 yr old P&S. Understanding how Aperture, F-Stop, Shutter speeds, lighting and ISO among others and how they affect a picture comes with practice or at least it did for me.
There's a few thread here that discuss it somewhere. Hopefully someone can point you to it, it's been a pretty big part for me in enjoy the hobby. (The fish don't complain as much as the kids either....:laugh
