Hey i know its not a great pic, but could anyone tell me whether its a ranchu or a lionhead?

Looks like a classic lionchu to me. The back is too curvy to be a lionhead, and if the tail tuck were a little more pronounced, it would just be a "wen-ally" blessed ranchu.

I think the angle between the caudal peduncle (the base of the tail) and the tail itself is just sharp enough to count as a ranchu. There are so many in-betweens now that it is hard to tell on some, but this is more ranchu.

Hey Reptileguy! Its Demdamdemekins from GFP :D. The curved back definitely puts it in the ranchu category, but the tail is so flat that in some circles, this would be regarded as a nice lionhead, whereas others it would be a lacking ranchu.

Yes, it is not the 'ideal' or standard of either. I have always seen the most significant difference in the two as the base of the tail. The question would be out the window if this one held its tail higher.
