Well, I was just about to get ready to sleep when I heard some noise on the floor. I thought it was my cat stepping on a pile of plastic bags I had on the floor, but instead, I spotted this thing walking away:

Anyone know what this is? It's 1" long and it's tail seems rather.. weird.

lololololol! im sorry but i hadto laff... down here in the south maam, we call those cocroaches, or palmetto bugs. they usualy stay outside cause they breed n moist wooded areas, but ive been lucky enough..HA..to have seen one of these lubberly WINGED creatures in FLIGHT....right at my face...on nuuuuumerous ocation in my 42 years..roflmao. theyre harmless even if creepy as all get out..lol. i probably kill 10 or so a week at my house (i live on a huge lake!). i never see them in the winter, but in the warm months they try to come inside and at begining of winter (like now) they head for the house too. the small roaches r german cocroaches not sure what they call these scientificaly(?sp?) but here the common names are BIG cocroach or palmetto bug. if its on a wall or ceiling where he has some heighth on ya watchit they have an uncanny ability to sero in on ur face for a landing oad...lol. have a good one!
