I'm currently treating some cottony, fungus-y crap on my female red zebra in my new 135g. I added a total of 5 cups of salt, one cup at a time, dissolved in a large cup of warm water and poured in all at once every 1.5 hours. So the entire salt content was in the tank within 8 hours.
That's also how I treated ich in my 125g earlier this year.
Started treatment 2 weeks ago tomorrow. The zebra is healthy again, eating like a horse and her fins are already healing up really well. Unfortunately, she was holding when she got sick, and she either spit or ate her fry, so hopefully they'll spawn again soon!
I love salt!
