Hi all

well this 2 shrimps get along Neocaridina heteropoda yellow and RCS get along in my tank there well be nothing else only plants both types of shrimp and some snails most likely

They will get along but they will crossbreed though. Yellow and RCS are both neocardina species and they will crossbreed and the babies will revert to the wild brown colorations.

They'll cross breed, it's best to keep these species apart. Male cherry shrimp will try to breed with anything, even species that they can't crossbreed with. I've seen my male cherries try to mount malawa and green shrimp.

Point of clarification: Jody, do you mean Red CHERRY Shrimp or Red CRYSTAL Shrimp?

These are two totally different species. Red CRYSTAL shrimp are caridina and would be fine with yellows (neocaridina) and not crossbreed. They are usually called Crystal Reds or CRS but the names are similar enough that "RCS" could maybe mean either one.

Crystals have more opaque shells and usually a combination of red and white. Also usually more expensive. :) Cherries are more translucent, no white. Which are yours?
