RCS in bowl/vase?

It may get way colder in my room than that at night when we turn the heater off and dive under the blankets... probably as low as 50...
ah okay haha then I'm gonna wait for my babies to grow and put them in the 1/2g
awesome! There is plenty of food, that's for sure, can't wait to see them grow! Turns out what I thought were baby RCS weren't... waiting for ID on another thread at the moment. I have baby RCS that I am positive are babies that showed today so yay
So I did a temp reading for the tank water when I woke up it said 58. So I'm guessing it'll get down to about 55 in there. Could I still do it? Also, anyone wanna post pics of their little shrimp bowl?
You could get a little desk light and use an infrared bulb at night to keep the heat up like they use for reptiles. Just want to make sure you watch it at first so that you dont overheat the water.
I think its the bulb that is important. I've never kept reptiles, so I am not sure, but I think you can buy a super cheap incandescent desk lamp at like Walmart, then just buy the special bulb at a pet store. Just have to make sure that wattage of the bulb does not exceed the lamp. 50 watts is probably more than enough for that small bowl. Here's mine. Originally they were in something bigger but for whatever reason it shattered and I lost a few shrimp out of it...I think there are currently 6 or so adults in there. I also had some U. gibba but it started getting a little too weedy and overgrowing the moss.
Oh wow that's awesome. I still am unsure because of the temp change thru the day, goes from 55-68 with out some sort or control...
