RCS?

I bought 10 red cherry shrimp today at the lfs. It's a great store that sells about 10 different species of shrimp. Went I got them home and started looking at them I noticed a orange/pink stripe running down the back of each shrimp. Now I am wondering did I really get RCS or another species? I don't recall seeing any pics with a stripe before.

thats normal for rcs a rew of mine have them.

Give them a few days and see if they start to take on a more red tone. It took mine 2 days before they really started to look like Cherries.

i have some green shrimp that look exactly like that

that is normal, some cherries have that broad stripe down their back

:iagree: Usually the largest of mine develop that stripe.

I had a large red female had that stripe too, it was kind of a bronze stripe.

Riiz- the store is called Aquatics Warehouse and it is in central San Diego. They have RCS, CRS, Green, Amano, bamboo, pearl, ghost, and few others I can't think of right now.

Next question ....I switched my rcs into a bigger tank this week and then realized that there are shrimplets in the old tank. They are so tiny that I can't catch them. So my next question is how fast do they grow?
