I was given two fire belly toads in January. One is small brown with smooth skin. The other one is larger with bumpy green skin. I don't know very much about them enough to know if they are male or female.
I do know that the water needs to be changed every two to three days.
I put holes in the bottom of my kritter keeper with a tray underneath, that way all I have to do is lift the keeper and the water drains out. I fill with fresh water every other day.
I have artificial floating plants and live plants that live in a small plastic container. I learned buy mistake that the plants have to say that they will work in a terrarium and not just an aquarium.
I have large rocks and sea shells on one end when they don't want to be in the water and the bed of the rest has flat colored marbles like you would put in a flower vase.
I hear barking after I feed and change the water but I'm not sure which one is barking.
I am interested in finding out how old they are when they start mating and do I have to do anything special if they lay eggs.
If anyone can direct me to more info it would be great.
