how do u get pictures off a camera? i got the cord i got the pictures i got the camera. i just cant get it. I NEED HELP!:wall:

You need the software, go to the manufacturer's site and download the software for whatever camera you're using.
shouldn't need software, just tell the camera to connect to the computer, open my computer, open the "removable" disk and your files should be in the folder.
Not all cameras will let you mount the memory stick as a storage device.
cam you'll need to download the usb driver from a sony website, go here and choose your specific model, then click on drivers & support, which will let you pick your OS and download the driver:

What type of storage media does the camera use? Most oftem it is faster and easier to just read the memory device, if you do not need to edit the pix. Some computers like my HP laptop, have a built in card reader. or you could buy one. Then you dont need any software.
I picked up a all in one reader from target for like 20 or 30 bucks, reads twenty some different memory card types. So I just pull the card from my camera, phone, GPS, PSP, digital pic. frame, etc. and plug it in...
Comes in handy if someone throws a card at me that I don't have a compatible device to be able see the images or files.
