****really COLORFUL freshwater fish?*****

Yea i know. I have kept them before. But i was just wondering, considering the fact i know so many ppl who keep them in 29g's

Any other ideas? I personally don't like killis or gudgeons. I was think platies or swordtails. but it seems everytime i get platies, i can't keep them alive. I have kept fish for such along time and this is the only time i havent been able to successfully keep!

GBRS!

id have to reccomend peacock gudgeons, and any sort of killifish. Killie's are awesome for colors, and peacock gudgeons are awesome lil fish

Change of plans into a community- but still colorful
for the bottom- albino cories (how many??)
middle- scissortail and rummynose (how many?? i have 5-6 s.tail and a mistake rummy)
top/all over- male guppies (how many??)

Will this work???

I have a 29 gallon planted tank with 12 (soon to be 16) Serpae tetras. In some ways, it's my prettiest tank. Against a backdrop of lush greenery, those hot pink fishies just pop. And they school so tightly. On the other hand, Serpaes are a bit too nippy for a community tank. That's why mine ended up in a tank of their own. Vicious little beasties.

arn't scissortails those ones that get like 6inches big?

but if i where you i'd do a school of 6 cories, 8 rummys, and 6 more guppies. and if you wanted to you could get a honey gourami as a center piece fish

If you live where they're legal (illegal in california and canada until bureaucrats get their money and their paperwork done), glofish are very colorful and glow in the dark. They're not painted, they're genetically modified zebra danios. It's supposedly completely safe and harmless to the fish.
