That concept was always too convenient for me personally. It's always that simple explanation that is used as an excuse for lack of proof. Why didn't they get pictures? Oh the aliens could disable that. It's like the old "why isn't there evidence?" question that always gets the simple cope-out answer of "the <insert agency here> is covering it up". "Why doesn't this make scientific sense?" which always gets answer "because scientists are covering it up". It is all too convenient. It creates a HUGE problem. You can make ANYTHING up on the spot, and use those reasons for arguing that it is true.

A "torch" is a british word for flashlight, a common thing to have in a car. This sighting is likely someone in costume that got lost near the studios in the Italian countryside where they make the photos and video clips of pyramids and other made up things like moon landings and such.

Kinda like if the aliens were advanced enough to disable the cell phone then why the heck weren't they walking around with some sort of cloaking device?

Ummmmm if electronic devices were disabled, then how was the flashlight (torch) able to work? If it was "cloaked" how did he know it was 13 feet tall, gray, had massive tendons?
