really tempting offer

Be careful when getting a bigger tank! You might catch the "I want an even BIGGER tank now" bug!
The biggest tank I ever had growing up was a 33 gallon. Just recently, while renovating, I made a "focal" point in the foyer for a 130 Gallon tank. I love it. BUT,.....now I am thinking, "wow, wouldn't it be cool if I had a 1000 gallon or something!". :dive:

Oh believe me kooter

i'm already there. . .that's why i mentioned that 63 wasn't the ideal size i want a 125 at least next and i want 2 really so i can do cichlids in one and a planted jungle in the other and i'd love to have a third for oscars and and and . . .you get my point we both have the disease

yeah ebay is an auction site...but the shipping what sucks, also the tanks are way over priced cause of so many ppl bidding.

its like ebay, but no bidding

Its more like a classified site.

You go on to post forsale adds, and other ppl go on to search up what they want. You put the ammount of money you want to make off of the item and first come first serves.

And they come and pick it up, so you dont have to bother with shipping.

Craigslist.com has sections split up to the sate your in so you can search only that area.

And unlike ebay, they dont charge fees for posting adds or sending money and all that crap. And since its persion to persion trade your chances of getting fruad is almost 0% unless they pay with a check.

Thats how i got most of my aquarium stuff, 29gal for 20bucks and 30gal filters for 15bucks.

And i got a 20gal tall for only 10bucks.

Compare thos prices to ebay auctions you save more then 70%

P.S. its also not just a buy/sell site, you can post up job resumes or look up wanted ads...they got alot of sections. You just have to go on it to find out yourself.

www.craigslist.org NOT .COM haha i always get it mixed

Last time I looked on eBay the majority of tanks that are for sale all say "LOCAL PICK UP ONLY! NO SHIPPING!" So yeah, no shipping charges there.

I do a lot of buying and selling on eBay and can count on one hand the number of times I have had problems, that is why there is a user feedback system. You should never bid on someone's item without first reviewing their feedback ratings.

I believe that for many people eBay is the way to go. I know that I personally have checked out craigslist and it does me no good, I don't live close enough to a metro area.

I got my 190g for $230 on Ebay. The seller lived about 20 miles from me. I picked up the tank a day after I won the auction. Then I built hood/stand for about $50.

Because of the money saved on the tank/stand/hood, I could afford the 18 bags of Eco Complete and the Lighting that I dreamed of.
