Repairing a bettas fin

So I was headed out to buy some Melafix hopefully to repair my betta (he tends to explore and get his find and scales ripped quite a bit, ahhhh). But I was wondering how safe it was to use with amano shrimp in the tank? Does anyone know how it affects inverts?

IME it's safe for everything. It seems like the perfect medication.

Ditto Watcher... I'm pretty sure the ingredients are all natural and safe for all (I think the label even says 'safe for all saltwater and freshwater tank inhabitants' or something along those lines).

Thanks guys. I am sure that little Darius will be happy to have all his fins healthy, though I don't think his pectoral fin will grow back. Silly fish.

Crazy 'kids'... you'd think they'd learn that rubbing their fins on tank decorations is a bad thing...

My guy likes to squeeze between the heater and the tank side. Thus his missing side scales as well. and he sometimes gets himself wedged in behind his box filter. Oh my.

My betta seems to enjoy wedging himself between the tank and heater as well. Though, he is missing more scales on the top of his head than on his sides. Curious little bugger.

Melafix works great, though. Torn fins and missing scales heal quickly. You might want to add Melafix at half dose, however, as I have heard some bettas don't react well to it at full strength.
