My new 20 long is going to be set up tomorrow, and my guppies, dwarf gourami, neons, and bumblebee catfish will be moved to it with bio spira to cycle it. This tank I am getting ready to convert it to brackish for Spot my figure 8 puffer. Then later I will get a couple bumblebee gobys. How does it look?

It's really beautiful. Is the wood one of those filters that's supposed to look like a tree trunk? I thought about getting one but didn't want to spend that much on a filter. Let us know how well those work. I really like the decor and the colors are nice and natural.

I do like how you've accented the tank around the filter trunk - looks very nice and gives the tank a lot of character.

Yes the tree trunk is one of those filters, it was 29.99 at petsmart so not too bad a deal. The filter is just a whisper 20i, so I added a cascade 300 internal(under the rocks on the left) and a whisper 5-15 to help it out. The water stays crystal clear. The plants are all plastic BTW.

Years ago my family used to go on summer vacations in Canada. We always stopped along rivers and mountain streams and picked up any cool rocks we found. A couple of the rocks in my tank have different fossils in them, you can't really tell from the pics though. In the right corner is a piece of petrified wood that we dug up in out yard when we planted a tree. It had been cut to a right angle so it fit perfectly into the corner.

New shots?
