every friday at my firm is beer night. they bring in a couple of buckets of beer and it's just an opportunity for people to meet up and chit chat. of course, the added bonus is, if you're working late on a friday, that beer don't just sit there all by itself.

i've had at least one late night cut short because i could - ahem - no longer perform my duties properly...

we get free food occasionally as referees, but usually it's junk left over from the concession stands. sometimes we get BBQ or Mexican, though -- sooooo good. not too many perks, although sometimes get to travel around the country for free.
