Recommendation for 30 gallon tank?

Thanks for all the Info guys. This site is awesome. hehe.

Well, the algae isn't all that bad and i use an algae scraper every week along with a 30% water change.

My intentions were really to get a beautiful pleco that would live peacefully in a 30 gallon.

I will do more research and see what I can find. It really sucks because my LFS only carries the common plecos.

Nothing says you can't ask them to order a certain species in their weekly shipment

I live in Texas and the weather gets over a 100 degrees in the summer with high humidity. Do you think this will be an issue for shipping fish?

I'm not an expert on shipping fish but I've had an order sit on my porch in 40 degree weather for almost 4 hours. Easier to fix that with heat packs though.

I would contact the supplier. They should be able to help out and there may be a refund for dead/dieing fish when you receive them.

I know when I ordered from Jeff Rapps he was capable of doing next day morning or next day evening shipping Morning is more expensive but is worth it since it will be at your porch before the heat kicks in too much.

I love plecs and have quite a few. While a Bristlenose is a good choice for a smaller tank, he probably won't be out for you to admire. I've had mine over a year and I swear-I've only seen him out in the open less than 10 times. He's the exact color of the wood in the tank, he's like The Invisible Plec.

Ive had the same probelm when I use to own a small gibbiceps he would hide alot and blended in very good with the wood. Miss that lil guy but hope he gets a better home then I could provide. Took him to the LFS
