Hey guys, I was just wondering if there is a certain time it would be best to dose the aquarium with your dry/liquid ferts or what have you. Whether it be right before you turn your light on or right after you turn your light off. Is there such a thing? Just curious, thanks.

I dose in the morning before the lights come on. That way, the ferts are in the tank throughout the entire photo period.
Some of my fish seem to like to shower in the fertilizers when I dose the tank in the morning..:hypnotized:
The plants do most of their growing at night so I guess it may be better to dose after lights out. Not sure it matters though.
before or during lights going on, though dont think it matters since you would still give the same time for plants to take in nutrients between dosing.
I think conventional wisdom is just before lights on, but like BK said, it doesn't really matter because as long as you always do it at the same time of day, you're giving the same time between dosings every time.
Everyone is right. The key is consistency so you will know how and when to make adjustments if/when necessary.
