Is it a good idea to use your old fresh water for say garden plants
, roses , lawn And potted plant around the yard.
0 ammonia o nitrites it does have ferts (planted tank).

the only time I might not do it is if you just medicated the tank, and I might just be paranoid, maybe someone knows if thats ok or not! But other than that I have a flower bed outside my front door and have just been dumping my water there recently

i always run my syphon out my window into my herb garden thats beneath; it really looks good this spring and i am sure that the old tank water has alot to do with it.

I think you're right, I started watering one half of my elephant ears with fishtank water, and that side grew WAY faster than the other, so I'm trying to catch up the other half.

Think about what your water is full of. Ammonia (waste), nitrite, and nitrates. The plants/soil have similar organisms to break down the first two and nitrate is the primary ingredient in fertilizer.

Plants <3 fish water.

There is very little ammoina or nitrite in tank water

But there is lots of waste that's been siphoned from the gravel. That waste will "cycle" in the soil just as it does in water, providing nutrients for the plants.
