Just got a new tank set up. 95 Gallon saltwater Wave tank with wet/dry filter system and protein skimmer. Two problems. Am experincing a copperish red build up on the crushed corral. How do i get rid of it?

The other question is what is the amount of fish you should have for a tank that size. Currently i have 4 damsels, a foxface, and two triggers. I have had the tank cycling for about 2 months and most of the tests look good. How much more room do i have for fish? Was contemplating a lionfish and a blue tank addition.

The build up on the sand that your refering to is brown diatom algae. This is not much to worry about as it is a new tank and you will be experiencing algae blooms in brown and green alage....just have to live with it and syphon off if it off if it gets too much...what kind of water are you using? is it tap or RO water? You seemed to of staocked it very quick concidering it has only been two months..at the two month period, there should of been about 4 fish in there maximum am afraid...You say the tests look good, but can you post the exact test results please...You will be able to get away with a couple more fish in there, but i would not put any in for a another good few months as the bioload may already be too much..Do the research on the fish that you want as you need to check compatibility before purchasing anymore fish...

Hope that helps a little and look forward to you answering my quick questions mate...

Welcoem to the beautifull world of satwater...
