CRS is Caridina cantonensis and Caridina cantonensis is not as easy to breed as RCS (Neocaridina Heteropoda).

If you breed, you will likely get Wild type since you have mixed CRS and wild Bee together.

yup i am quite aware of that.... i am not too interested in breeding high quality shrimp for sale. I find it more interesting to see my tank to have a natural look to it. However since i have 2 wild phenotype and 8 recessive reds there is a good chance that large majority of off spring will either be carrier of recessive trait or will turn out red.

What i mean by easy to breed is that the shrimp doesn't need dramatic environmental change to initiate breeding cycle, their environment can be constant. They also don't have a zooplankton like larval stage that last for years. Really all i have to do is to make sure water is keeped soft and acidic pH range from 6.2 to 6.8, gH be between 4-6 and kH be between 1-2.

atleast from what i have read

Very nice!

Question:

Is there a reason for shrimp to want to get blasted by my filter? I have a like 5-10 out of 30+ shrimps that like to stand and cling to their dear lives down stream of my fluval filter... there are some that will even go as far as trying to climb into the nozzle of the filter...

rest of the shrimps are fine being else where and forge with little problem, there also doesnt' seem to be any particular individual that will hang around the filter... almost kind of like they enjoy getting jet blasted around the tank and take turns doing so
