Red Clawed Crabs

rcs are really easy for me, I just put them in my planted 50 and bam, I had babies everywhere in no time lol.

I got everything siliconed on the sump last night, will be testing it later tonight to see if it works. I might not be able to use the eclipse filter so I have a smaller whisper filter on hand just in case.

I dont think you will have any worries. Post up some pics when its all done

You should look into patriot crabs or vampire crabs, both are awesome... vampire crabs (from what I've heard) are fully freshwater (they do need land also of course) and will breed without salt/brackish conditions. That would really open up some options for the types of plants/other critters you could put in there. Here's a pic from another thread here

I have 2 male red clawed crabs in a 20 gal. They do hide a bit and are currently in freshwater. Once I free up some tank space and get the remaining fish out we will gradually make the conversion to brackish. I used to have live plants in with them and they have destroyed every single one of them. What they didn't eat they just chopped up into little bits. They also eat the wood that I gave them to climb on but they are fun little guys and have amazing dexterity with those big claws.
