Red-Claws & Bichirs

I'm in Essex County, NJ and be damned if anything around me has either Red-Claw crayfish or any type of Bichirs (and none of the LFS that I know will order either for me, they don't do special ordering for customers... the losers lol).

All the websites I'm finding are either eternally out-of-stock on both species or they want insane amounts of money for either the product, the shipping or both. Does anybody have either of these for sale or know any stores in NJ or websites that won't bankrupt me? Thanks!

Have you checked your local WalMart. Right now is the season that they have so many purple gobies (dragon face eel) and bichir (dinosaur eel). I was in my local walmart yesterday and they had to be 10-20 gobies together in a FW 10gl tank. Ugh, I hate to see fish crammed. Also seen some of the smallest but cutest bichirs too. I wanted to take them all home. LOL.

Try petsmart or petco also they should have them in stock -Anne

just an fyi, violet gobies (dragon eels/gobies) are brackish water fish.

O yeah, I know this but Wal-Mart sure don't. I have been known to take a wet-dry erase marker and write on the tags above the gobies, "Brackish Water", if you don't know don't buy! Poor things, someone has to look after them. LOL.
