Red Devil and Jack Dempsey compatible?

I've seen RDs and Texas together, in fact a friend of mine had a pair that produced untold thousands of fry over the years, which back in the 1980s was a sight to see, since Red Texas and Flowerhorns didn't technically exist back then, and hybrids were a real rarity. But like everyone has said, every cichlid is unique, when it comes to personality.

most likely your red devil will not coexist in a 90 with another cichlid of any size...small, medium or large. I wouldn't try to mix a red devil with anything else in anything smaller than a 6' tank. :)

I know, i'm sure the convicts will mix about, but they would atleast have a place to hide when the RD is "feelin tough" like my flowerhorn was, being introduced before adulthood is best as well
they dont have a very big tank, so keeping 2 monsters isn't the greatest idea.... Either way, be prepared to possibly remove one...
