Yep, I made sure to bring some algae wafers home with the oto cat. I've already been experimenting a little with blanched fresh vegetables to check his preferences. He seems to like romaine lettuce and a little ambivalent towards cucumber slices. I think I'm gonna try zucchinni tomorrow...

good luck maybe in a week or two i would add another neon or two. the thing with your stocking right now is they are all schooling fish. they do better in groups.
I recently had the same problem in my 20 gallon but, the shark killed the oto. I'd also add some more neons. Good luck with your tank though.

I definitely wanted to add a couple more tetra. Three seem like a, uh, one-room schoolhouse. I had wondered how much company the oto might want. I didn't want to have too many in my tank and have them suffering for lack of true algae to eat/ pursue.
