Red Glosso

I recall seeing a thread about this on another forum...I just spent the last 20 minutes looking and couldn't find it:( (Thats gonna drive me nuts.) If I find it, I'll link you.

Guess I wasn't very helpful:p

It was on Aquabotanic. I read it and most if not all agreed the plant was not glossostigma elatinoides. The poster was hopeful though. It has been a couple of weeks and he has not posted any updated pics yet.

Red Glosso?

Hm...perhaps it was. I had thought it was myfishtank though. The thread you are thinking of (which I think I read) mentioned their glosso was much redder than a few leaves? Or am I recalling that incorrectly..

Maybe if you linked it it would help? If not, I'll look later (mainly just for the picture, because if its the one I'm thinking, they included a few pics).

OMG, I'm sorry. I don't know how I missed that. I think it has something to do with it being 3 am when I posted....sorry again:p

I don't think this is a good thing that my glosso is turning red. My tank hasn't been quite balanced lately and all of my plants seem to be either tending towards the red side (like my rotala and my sunset hygro) or yellow side (dwarf hairgrass and penny wort). My glosso turns red, from the stem and into the leaf. After a few days the red turns darker, almost brownish red. I need to buy a camera so I can document it.

I was just wondering if the reddish color might signify a certain nutrient that I'm missing. It's the most distinct change that is going on in my tank.

I have other problems too, white cloudy water for the last 3 weeks. It look like it's clearing up a bit.

pH 7
KH 6
GH 8
Ammonia 0

I started adding flourish a couple weeks ago. I also add flourish excel. BTW can too much flourish excel precipitate to cause cloudiness?
