About a year ago my LFS had a tank with red phatoms. I bought six of them to contrast with the six black phantoms I had. Over the course of the year, two of the red phantoms died. I quite like them and was looking to replace them and get more, but I can't seem to find them anywhere! Even the fish store I bought them from says they haven't seen them on their order sheets in a long time. What gives? Anyone else have these? Any suggestions on where to get them?

You could try aquabid/order online. Liveaquaria, etc. Shipping can be steep, however.

Red Phantoms was another fish that use to be plentiful when I was young. Much harder to find now in LFS, they all carry Serpae Tetras now.
You can try http://www.wetspottropicalfish.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=2&Itemid=116
Thanks for the lead. I saw red phantoms once but never again and all my regular LFS say they don't carry them. One even said they really don't do black phantoms anymore either. I might have found one of the two Petcos I trust that might be able to get them. Stay tuned...

PS--Red Phantoms. from my experience, are like Neon tetras, they like the temperature a little lower- 74ish.
